What Happens at a Session

 We take pride in providing a tranquil, welcoming space. From the moment you step in, you’ll be surrounded by a soothing atmosphere to help you relax. Our practitioner is committed to making your Reiki session calming and restorative. 

Before 

  • Health Overview: You may fill out a short intake form or share health history, including past injuries, conditions, or areas to avoid.
  • Discussing Goals: Share any physical discomfort, emotional concerns, or objectives like relaxation, pain relief, or emotional balance.
  • Consent & Expectations: The practitioner goes over intake form and explains the process, techniques like light touch or energy work, and addresses your preferences or questions.
  • Centering: Practitioners often start with a brief meditative process to focus energy and create a balanced space.

During 

  • Comfortable Setting: Sessions take place in a tranquil environment, often with soft music, dim lighting, or soothing aromatherapy to encourage relaxation.
  • Positioning: Clients stay fully clothed and are usually lying on a massage table or seated in a supportive chair.
  • Non-Invasive: Sessions typically last 45 to 90 minutes. You remain fully clothed while a practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above specific areas of the body.
  • Sensations: You may feel warmth, tingling, or a gentle pulsing, though some feel nothing at all while still receiving benefits.

 

After

  • Hydrate: Drink plenty of water (at least 6–8 glasses) to help flush out toxins released during the session and maintain energyer flow.
  • Rest: Allow time for deep, restorative rest without screens or external stimulation. you may feel relaxed, peaceful, or slightly tired. A common “healing crisis” may cause temporary symptoms like headaches, emotional releases, or detox effects (more urination or sweating) as your energy realigns
  • Move Slowly: Transition back to daily life gradually; sit for a few minutes and sip water before leaving the treatment space

1-3 Days Following a Session

 

Resting and staying hydrated aid your body’s healing process.

In the 24–72 hours following a session, the body may release stored toxins and stagnant energy, potentially causing temporary discomfort: 

 

  • Physical Detox: Symptoms may include headaches, fatigue, frequent urination, or minor digestive changes.
  • Emotional Release: Suppressed emotions like sadness, anger, or sudden laughter can surface as they're processed.
  • Vivid Dreams: Intense or lucid dreams are common as the subconscious realigns.

Everyone's experience is different—some feel changes right away, while others notice improvements slowly as their body adjusts.

For lasting results, 3 to 6 sessions is optimal.
