Questions About the Reiki Session

What happens during a session?

You will lie on a massage table remaining fully clothed. The practitioner will gently place their hands on or just above specific areas of your body, from head to toe, for several minutes at a time. The entire session usually lasts between 45 and 60 minutes.

What does it feel like?

Experiences vary, but the most common sensations are deep relaxation, a sense of calm, and sometimes physical feelings of warmth, coolness, or tingling from the practitioner's hands. Some people fall asleep, and others may see colors or see images like in a dream.

What should I wear?

Wear loose, comfortable clothing to ensure you can relax fully during the session.

How should I prepare

There is no special preparation needed, other than wearing comfortable clothes. It may be helpful to use the restroom before the session and remove uncomfortable articles like shoes, belts, and jewelry.

How will I feel after a session?

Most people feel calm, refreshed, and deeply relaxed after a session. You should take some time to sit up slowly and drink plenty of water to help your body continue its natural cleansing process.

How many sessions do I need?

The number of sessions depends on your individual goals and health. For acute issues, a few sessions might be enough, while chronic conditions may require more frequent, ongoing treatment.

Can Reiki be done remotely?

Yes, distance healing is believed to be just as effective as in-person sessions. The practitioner and client arrange a specific time to connect, and the energy is sent across any distance.
